Before his happened was the best time to be alive. The first few years afterward were a very sad time, but it brought us together as a nation. The good will toward others, the patriotism and the decency of fellow citizens was at an all time peak in our history. Today, everyone is divided more than ever, where violent crime, domestic strife and random violence are an epidemic. I can’t believe that this is the same country that I grew up in.

In no way are any of these people who saved themselves "cowards"!...they are all heroes!

This documentary makes the whole thing feel more REAL. Like these were everyday people who were minding their business. Watching from the outside takes away the human element in some way but seeing what they were going through on the inside gives a whole different perspective.

I couldnt help but think of how absolutely helpless typical city people are. One of the gentlemen in the video commented about it and its so true. So many of those people were absolutely clueless on what to do, so they just sat around. People trapped and dying bc of a 1/2" drywall slab. Theres obviously the exceptions to the theory, but a lot of people died bc they had no sense of how to function in a scenario where they needed to step up and handle themselves. I dont care who tells me to stay at my desk when the building is on fire and i cant breath bc the smoke is so bad. Its just so wild to me that people are so unable to take care of themselves. I guess thats why city people live where they dont have to do much besides eat to survive. Its a tragedy and its why i enlisted in the military a few years after 9/11, so please dont think im bashing the victims of this horrible event.

I was 9 when this happened. My grandmother picked me up from school early that morning because no one knew how far this attack was going to be. I miss that woman more than life. My heart hurts for all those innocent people that had to die for NOTHING. Absolutely nothing. God took their souls home that day. It was their time to go home. Such an evil place, this planet is.

I was working across the street Verizon building on vecesy Street n West Street that day i putting phone lines in north tower im a Verizon phone technician..and was on 67 floor.. and was in shock. Until I heard on my walkman am/fm that a plane hit.1010 wins.....made it out and seen things i needed therapy for 7 years after...i will never forget the brave police and fire fighters ✨

Did anyone know that Michael Jackson was supposed to be in the first tower that morning but he overslept because he was up all night talking to his Mam on the phone

My mother worked during the attacks, and so was my father. My mom doesn't really speak about it, but she says it was a terrible time. After watching so many of these, it's incredibly annoying and cruel how people joke around about this. Does my generation understand how many people died during 9/11, putting "✈🏢🏢." Does anyone else feel the same?

We were six blocks from there working for Santini moving company out of the Bronx(after 911 they moved to upstate like most companies) I bought a disposable camera in a bodega, and as I was taking pictures as when the first building collapsed😔 we never thought in 1 million years those buildings would collapse. There were so big😔 I won’t forget when that dust cloud hit us. I must’ve ran two blocks down the middle of the street with so many other people, but I couldn’t outrun it no matter how fast I ran 💨😶‍🌫️💨 I still can’t believe it happened
